Our productions would not be possible without the help of our community. We need a variety of volunteers to help make each show run smoothly. Please invite your friends and family to lend a hand—because for every shift you volunteer, you’ll receive a FREE ticket to see the show!
Additionally, NCT is a not-for-profit organization and can approve community service hours for high school students.
If you are volunteering backstage, please note that you will not be able to watch that performance. Volunteers in all other roles may watch the performance on the same day they volunteer.
Volunteer Position Descriptions
Greeter: Greet guests at the door and direct them to the ticket table if they need to purchase tickets, or to the ushers if they already have tickets.
Ushers: Check tickets, hand out programs, and direct audience members to their seats.
Backstage: Help actors with costume changes, remind everyone to stay quiet during the show, and keep the area tidy. If you’re volunteering backstage, it’s most helpful (though not required) to attend at least one tech rehearsal for training.
Pre-Production: Set building and painting. Costume building and selecting. Lighting hang and focus. Sound installation.
50/50 Raffle Tickets: Sell raffle tickets before the show and during intermission.
Merchandise Table: Assist with selling t-shirts before the show and during intermission.
Concessions Table: Assist with selling concessions before the show and during intermission.
Cleaning Help: Pick up trash left behind in the theater, dressing rooms, and bathrooms. Remove all garbage from the building at the end of the evening.
